Anyway, once you have them downloaded, you can just move them to another folder, unsubscribe, and have Mod Organizer manage them, which works fine.
They aren't on Nexus, and I haven't found adequate replacements for them either. However, I do use six mods from the workshop myself. In general, I agree with what /u/Thallassa said - avoid using Steam workshop.
